PC Assembly

Have a PC built to your specifications without paying for unnecessary additions.

A custom PC is one of the most cost efficient ways to get the exact processing power and features that you want.

1/1

While most people purchase pre-built computers from companies like Dell, HP, or Lenovo, desktop PCs can be assembled from scratch by users with technical experience. As such, many hobbyists purchase individual components to build the exact PC they want, without paying extra for unnecessary features and middle-man mark-ups. While the assembly process does require some technical knowledge, the completed PC works exactly like a computer you'd purchase from a typical store. As such, if you want to compromise the cost and performance benefits of a custom built PC with the conveinence of purchasing a pre-built machine, you can opt to have V0LT assemble a PC to match your needs and specifications!

Customizable

As you would expect, you can customize nearly all aspects of a bespoke desktop computer. Whether you want a flashy gaming PC with vibrant lights, or a minimalist workstation power-house for professional work, V0LT can adjust components and build style to fit your preferences.

Budget

When you have a PC built exactly to your needs and preferences, you avoid having to pay for features you don't need, or mark-ups from middle-man companies. This allows you to make the most of your budget, whether you want to build an extremely affordable desktop, or a high-end workstation.

Repairable

A custom PC built by V0LT is inherently repairable. When components break, you aren't dependent on V0LT or an external manufacturer to replace them. Anyone with technical experience can replace damaged parts of your PC without needing to replace the entire computer.

Upgradable

In the same way that a custom-built PC can be easily repaired, it's entirely possible to upgrade individual components as well. If you find that your PC can no longer keep up with modern software several years after purchasing it, you can upgrade individual components to improve your experience without needing to entirely replace the computer.

Easy

V0LT takes all of the complexity out of building a custom PC. Whether you have an in-depth list of components and preferences you want, or you just want V0LT to build a PC that matches your needs, your level of involvement in the build process is entirely up to you.

Powerful

Custom-built desktop PCs are almost always more faster and more powerful than pre-built desktops, since more of your money is put towards higher quality components. Additionally, full desktop PC cases have significantly better airflow characteristics than laptops or all-in-one computers, further improving their ability to handle heavy workloads without hesitation.

Parts

V0LT uses several pre-made parts lists as solid recommendations to anyone looking to purchase a custom-built PC. However, you have full control over the parts your PC uses, should you want it. While each list has a picture for sake of illustration, they may not necessarily show the exact look of the PC. Cases can be changed out or modified to dramatically change the look of your PC without changing the hardware inside.

To clarify, these parts lists are absolutely not a comprehensive list of the hardware V0LT can assemble. If you have a specific parts list you want to use, don't hesitate to get in contact!

This parts list is great for people who want a playful PC that can handle a little bit of everything. This PC is great for watching videos, writing documents, developing software, and playing video games. It has vibrant RGB lights, and enough processing power to handle most games reasonably well. Additionally, it offers a great future upgrade path, should you decide you want to add more processing power in the future.

This PC uses extremely similar hardware to the budget gaming PC above, but substitutes the flashy case and vibrant lights for a much more professional, solid color metal chassis. It has nearly identical performance, with a similarly excellent future upgrade path, but it will look right at home in a professional or home environment.

Operating System

The operating system is the software that runs between your applications and the hardware. Windows, MacOS, and Linux are 3 most desktop operating systems you might be familiar with.

Windows is by far the most popular desktop operating system. If you've ever used a personal computer, you probably have experience with Windows. A lifetime license for Windows 11 costs about $140 plus tax. However, if you've previously purchased Windows, or you have a PC with an existing license, you might be able to use your existing license to avoid having to purchase a new one.

Linux Mint is an extremely popular Linux based desktop operating system that works very similarly to Microsoft Windows. Just like Windows 11, Linux Mint can write documents, send emails, browse the web, watch videos, manage photographs, play videos games, and do just about anything else you'd expect a personal computer to do. Even if you've never used Linux, Linux Mint is very easy to get the hang of.

Pop!_OS is another popular Linux based operating system that is designed for power users. If you're comfortable with computers and want a powerful and customizable desktop experience, Pop!_OS is a great option.

If you have another operating system you want to use (or you want to install your own), you can select this to indicate as such in the pricing estimate.

Keyboard/Mouse

If you don't already have a keyboard or mouse, you can have an affordable set included with your PC.

Uninterruptable Power Supply

An uninterruptable power supply (UPS) is a battery back-up that sits between your PC and the wall outlet, and protects it from power surges, brown-outs, and black-outs. While a PC can only run for a few minutes on battery back-up before the power runs out, a UPS can give you plenty of time to finish saving your work before you lose power. Additionally, a UPS protects hardware from electrical faults by acting as a filter, ensuring your PC gets clear power, even during a power surge or outage. A UPS can also be useful as a large power-bank for mobile devices during extended utility outages.

External Backup

No matter how reliable your PC is, it is always a good idea to have a backup of all of your important files. You can opt to have a back-up disk included with your PC to ensure you always have somewhere to storage copies of your files.
