Submarine Mini

A command-line utility to notify administrators when network targets go offline

Submarine Mini is a simple command line utility designed to monitor the status of network targets, and send push notifications when a target goes offline. This is useful for home and small business environments, where administrators may not necessarily notice a technical problem until it has been occuring for several hours. Submarine Mini is meant to run on a single board computer, like a Raspberry Pi, or any Linux desktop that is always running. When a target goes offline, Submarine Mini uses ntfy to send a push notification to any device subscribed to a particular notification topic.

Simple

The installation and setup process for Submarine Mini is extremely quick and straight-forward. Network administrators should be able to get an instance up and running within an hour.

Lightweight

Submarine Mini is extremely lightweight, and can run comfortably on low-powered single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi.
